Grand Manan Experience

5 Days, 4 Nights - $995

New for 2015, we are looking forward to our newest kayaking adventure/tour. This four night trip includes two nights at the Compass Rose Heritage Inn and two nights camping on one of the outer islands around Grand Manan. We will spend three days kayaking along the majestic cliffs, experiencing the local fishing culture, all the while immersing ourselves in one of the richest ecosystems still left in the world.

Itinerary

Day One: Arrival on Grand Manan Island and check-in at our Compass Rose Heritage Inn at 3:00 pm. All rooms boast an ocean view and either a queen or king size bed with ensuite. Dinner that evening in the ocean front dining room with the group and meet your guides. Brief orientation at this time.

Day Two: Meet at 10:00 am @ Adventure High's base of operations. We will go over the plan for the tour; pack and organize equipment. Drive to the starting point (locations will vary due to winds and tides). Lunch at the beach and do final loading of kayaks. At this time there will be a safety/paddling orientation. From here you will set off for an afternoon of kayaking. Arrival at base camp, on one of the outer islands - set up camp and prepare dinner. Spend the evening relaxing around a bon fire.

Day Three: After breakfast, set out for a full day of paddling and exploration, with breaks throughout the day. Evening back at camp for dinner and exploration, as the group desires.

Day Four: Last day of kayaking! Enjoy and observe all the natural beauty that Grand Manan and the Bay of Fundy has to offer. You will be picked up at a pre-arranged location and taken back to Adventure High. After unloading and repacking your personal gear, return to Compass Rose Heritage Inn for the long-anticipated hot shower. Dinner in the dining room that evening with your guides and relive your adventures!

Day Five: Check-out at 11:00 am and return home.

Upon booking you will receive a comprehensive registration package that will include an information booklet (which will include everything from what it will be like to what you need to bring), medical form and a release/waiver form.
